Summer horse camps, IEA and EIRA teams and 4-H in Raleigh

Young riders thrive here. In summer we run equestrian camps, in the school year we field our own IEA and EIRA teams, and all year we support an active 4-H club.

Summer equestrian camps

Camps for new riders and for school riders getting ready for team competition.

Beginner Equestrian Camp

For young riders who are new to horses: a first taste of riding and barn life.

IEA High School Equestrian Camp

For high school riders on, or hoping to join, an IEA team.

EIRA and IEA Middle School Equestrian Camp

For middle school riders getting ready for EIRA and IEA team riding.

Camp dates and fees are set each year. Call or send an inquiry for this summer's schedule.

Our own IEA and EIRA teams

Students can ride for a team through the school year.

Southern Oak fields its own teams in the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) and in EIRA. Team riding gives middle and high school students the chance to compete with their teammates and trainers.

An active 4-H club

We support an active 4-H club at the barn, where young people learn about horses and their care alongside riding.

Ask us how your child can take part.
